Welcome to the Bard and Breakfast

Open year-round, the Bard and Breakfast is located a pleasant ten minute walk from the world famous Stratford Shakespeare Festival Theatre. The Avon, Studio or Patterson theatres are a five minute drive.

For over 60 years, the building has been in the Forrest family. Initially a private home filled with love and great memories, host Elizabeth and husband Al completely renovated the structure in 2002. The main floor guest section of the Bard and Breakfast is the original building constructed early in the last century. Sadly, Al passed on in the summer of 2007. Elizabeth is continuing to run the Bard and Breakfast in the same spirit of warm, welcoming hospitality that has become their hallmark.

The main floor private entrance opens into a lovely sunroom. It welcomes you to the warmth and hospitality of the Bard and Breakfast. In summer, lounge in the sunroom or on the front deck and enjoy the friendly small town atmosphere. Our back private garden, surrounded by tall trees, is a perfect place to relax with a variety of flora in comfortable seating areas.

A five-minute walk away is the scenic Avon River with Stratford’s renowned White Swans. A short thirty-minute stroll by the river, will take you to the many quaint shops and gourmet restaurants of Stratford. Also nearby, are the Stratford Golf and Country Club, and Gallery Stratford.
